Porsche has officially launched a $16 million hybrid yacht
Porsche is trying its hand at yacht design.
Studio F.A. Porsche, the automaker's design house, has designed a hybrid superyacht that will make its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show on September 27. The yacht was constructed by Dynamiq, a luxury yacht builder.
Called the GTT 115, the yacht is being pitched as a Gran Turismo for the seas. Scroll down for a closer look:
Behold: The GTT 115! The yacht is painted with Rhodium Grey metallic paint and measures 35 meters (115 feet).
The superyacht is a hybrid that Dynamiq says offers efficient fuel consumption for 3,400 nautical miles. It can cruise at 21 knots.
The yacht costs €13.9 million or $16.7 million. It will be novelty purchase as only 7 units have been made.
A rendering of the interior shows the yacht features hardwood floors and chocolate brown furniture.
But we'll have to wait until the Monaco Yacht Show to get a closer look.
"Taking the spirit of high-performance sports car styling to the high seas, the Dynamiq GTT 115 is designed to appeal to car lovers and forward-thinking yacht owners," Roland Heiler, CEO of F.A. Studio Porsche, said in a press statement.
